Tabata this and that

With horrible weather outside Donna rowed for another 7500m, she is well on her way to her 100km goal. Then she headed to Boston for a Nutrition Seminar tomorrow at CrossFit Boston.

I decided to do some Tabata intervals. What is that I hear some of you ask, so here from the CrossFit.com site is the official definition:

For twenty seconds do as many reps of the assigned exercise as you can - then rest 10 seconds.Repeat this seven more times for a total of 8 intervals, 4 minutes total exercise. The score is the least number of reps for any of the eight intervals.

This subtle form of torture was devised by Dr Tabata a Japanese exercise scientist.

I chose 4 different exercises for this session:
Rowing for Calories - Score: 7
AbMat Sit Ups - Score: 12
Kettlebell Power Swings 12kg KB - Score: 15
Push Up - Score: 10
It only lasted 16 minutes but man that was nasty.

I did some Turkish Get Ups and arm bar stretches as a warm up and cool down. Check out this video of Jeff Martone doing a TGU at the cert last weekend.
