Eva and a little sightseeing..............

We woke this morning still feeling the effects of yesterdays ride. This didn't stop us heading to CrossFit Red to join in the trainers workout at 9am. As they are following CrossFit.com the workout was "Eva":
Five rounds for time of:
Run 800 meters
2 pood Kettlebell swing, 30 reps
30 Pull-ups
Matt: 44:00 as Rx
Donna: 30:44 "Little Eva" 3 Rounds 1.5 pood, band pull ups.

This was the first time I have done Eva with a run, in the past there has been too much snow and ice on the ground so I have subbed the run with a 1k row.

Patrick and Matt suffer through and after Eva as Rx

After we had recovered from this beasting it was time for domestic chores. That is, we were running out of clean clothes and I really needed a haircut.
New hairdo!
Then it was back to Grand Junction to do a little coaching and a little knowledge sharing with Patrick.

On the way back to the hotel we headed into the Colorado National Monument for some sightseeing.
Balance Rock and other awesome scenery
Tomorrow we will hit CrossFit Red one last time before heading to Moab and then Salt Lake City, Utah to check out CrossFit NRG.

Some info from Adam at CF Red about the places we saw: "In the pictures you posted of the Colorado Monument, the fourth picture (lower right one) is of Independence Monument, which is where Jess & I regularly compete against each other and a few other brave souls by running up to it and back down, for time. Jess is a killer runner, much to my chagrin. If you come back this way, you should give the trail a try, think you'd like it. The trail is actually called Independence Canyon Trail (I believe)." Thanks Adam
