Back to the Basics, O Lifting Style

We taught an Olympic Weightlifting Clinic to 18 or so East Sac Crossfitters this morning.

With those numbers and two hours to work with we took it back to basics, working solely with PVC. Everyone worked hard and there was definite improvement with positioning by the end.

At the end they hit a conditioning workout in teams of two with Push balls and Pull Ups.

A few of the ladies hung out afterwards to get in some work on the bar.

We watched the Crankworx Slopestyle from Whistler, won by Greg Watts (pictured above) streamed live on the web. Hard to believe we were there two years ago :-)
Donna's boyfriend Brian Lopes wins the Air DownHill (again)!
Now it is time for Paleo Pizza :-)

Hard saying not knowing, but maybe he keeps winning that race because its the ONLY ONE HE EVER RIDES. (Fine! he won the World Champs a few times too)

Matt: what gains did you make after strengh bias. have any data handy?

Brian is not like Lance this isn't the only race he rides. He came in second on the dual slalom. Re: strength bias...who am I talking to?

Come on...who else!?

HOBO

Hobo, SB increased my press by 15#, DL by 50# and BS by 20#.

The DL and Back squat actually went higher when we did a total a while back. When we tested the 1RM during the SB cycle we warmed up with too higher weight.

Jason put 25# on his press.

I am now playing with Max Effort Black Box, similar but different to SB.
