Traffic, Food, Workouts, more Food, it's all here

Boston traffic sucks. Other than that we had a great day yesterday. We got to CrossFit Boston around noon, in time for Donna to do some training with Neal.

Then we headed to lunch with Robb Wolf. Neal and Jon were supposed to join us but both had to bail, so we got to spend some one on one time with the man who will be conducting our Nutrition Certification today. Can't ask for better than that can you?

After some great seafood at the Union Oyster House, we headed back to CF Boston to workout. I was too late to join James for his suffer fest so I did the CF Boston WOD "Frelen" 5 rounds for time: Run 400m 15 Dumbbell Thrusters @ 20% Body weight so 35# and 15 Pull Ups. I finished in 19:35 it was so humid the last two runs felt like I was moving through molasses.

Donna hit a nasty goat filled workout from CrossFit East Sacramento (our future home base in California) of 5 rounds for time 30 Double Unders, 20 Push Ups and 10 Hang Power Snatches 135/85#. 23:34 Yuk!

After a much needed shower, we headed to dinner at the Longhorn well known for big lumps of red meat. Food was great, Jason and Nicky from Albany CrossFit joined us with Alex, James, Steve, Trish, Robb and Neal. After dinner we headed up to Steve and Trish's apartment (directly across the street) for some after dinner drinks (including a great beer - Harpoon Leviathan - Quad) and a great discussion on workout scaling and intensity (see the article in this months Performance Menu).

James and Robb at dinner, note the empty bread basket between them!

Now we are just getting ourselves sorted for a day at the nutrition cert, should be good :-)
