Yesterday was the final workout at the MaD CrossFit gym in Stockbridge. It was a choose your own hero workout in commemoration of D-Day in 1944.
I took on Murph as Rx and finished in 47:32. Turns out that putting a big hill in your 1 mile run really slows things down :-)
Murph- named in memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, 29, of Patchogue, N.Y., who was killed in Afghanistan June 28th, 2005. 1 mile Run, 100 Pull-ups, 200 Push-ups, 300 Squats, 1 mile Run
For time. Partition the pull-ups, push-ups, and squats as needed. Start and finish with a mile run. If you've got a twenty pound vest or body armor, wear it.

Jason tackled Mr Joshua as Rx (Subbed floor knees to elbows for GHD situps) and finished in 34:15.
Mr. Joshua- named for SO1 Joshua Thomas Harris, 36, drowned during combat operations, August 30th 2008 in Afghanistan.

Donna and Trish did Randy with 42# and finished in 10:21 and 14:36 respectively.
Randy - In honor of Randy Simmons, 51, a 27 year LAPD veteran and SWAT team member who was killed February 6 in the line of duty. 75# power snatch, 75 reps For time.
After we were done, we headed home to host an open house so people could stop by and say goodbye before we head to Sacramento and then New Zealand. Thanks to all who made the effort to come, we appreciated it. Good food, good weather, good times.
Today we are packing up the gym and getting ready for the container to be packed on Tuesday, it is starting to happen fast!
