Sun at last! A house at last!

We woke this morning to the best day in NZ so far, light wind and a nice sunny day.
The view from Petone towards Wellington city

We headed to brunch at Caffiend Cafe in Petone, with my sister Briony and her husband Geoff to celebrate her birthday.

Yesterday we got to visit the girls again, they were exhausted as they had a very windy night and another dog arrived at the kennel at 2am. So they were making the most of their nap time in the sun when we were there. It looks like they may get out of jail a bit early, we might be able to pick them up on Oct 24th, so fingers crossed for that.
Ginger being a bat and Kiwi being cute :-)

Good news on the house front. We are now the new tenants of a small two bedroom place in Waiwhetu. The back section is fenced and it has a good sized garage :-) We move in Oct 19th. First workout there is to unload a shipping container for time on the same day :-)
Our new abode!

Liz our current landlord has a six month old puppy Bodhi who provides plenty of entertainment and our daily dog fix.

Congrats! The house looks great, good to see you guys are getting settled in.

PS - Donna: I tweaked my back doing deadlifts yesterday despite having stretched and foam rolled every night for the last 6-8 weeks. I have now become totally bitter, and I've lost all faith in mobility and the universe as a whole. I was under the impression that stretching made me a bulletproof superman impervious to injury and illness. I consider this a personal betrayal by you. :) Kidding, I'll be fine, enjoy the house!

Sorry Tom, turns out, none of us are bullet proof. I am sure you will heal fast, and you only got hurt because you didn't have a coach with you ;)
